Author Illustrator
Stacey is an aspiring Author-Illustrator of stories and characters filled with childhood nostalgia and wonder.
Illustration has been her lifelong happy place. She has been creating picture books since the age of ten.
Her artwork has won awards, featured in galleries, artisan stores and markets, self-published books, fabric collaborations and murals.
Her illustrations are handcrafted with watercolor, gouache, pencil, ink, collage and rendered digitally.
Stacey has completed courses at RMIT and CAE on creating Children’s Picture Books as well as the School of Creativity in California. She has a background in Midwifery, Special Care Nursing and Retail Management. She is also familiar with speaking to a crowd of hundreds at the Church she leads alongside her husband.
Stacey’s stories and illustrations often capture the precious moments from the midst of motherhood, life on her homestead and memory stones from her childhood. Having lived in California USA, Rural Victoria, Melbourne and on the road in a caravan with an ever-changing view of Australia, Stacey now resides with her family at their 120 year old Schoolhouse-homestead nestled in the heart of Central Queensland. It is here she homeschools her four children, surrounded by her geese, ducks, chickens, dogs, cats, sheep, cows and turkeys!
Stacey is passionate about telling stories through her art and investing creatively into her local community. She is also involved in local creative vision, collaboration and singing and dancing in Theatre Performing Arts.
Stacey’s illustrations are represented here by ASA Style File.
