Stacey, aspiring author illustrator, loves creating scenes and characters with wonder and whimsy. Her illustrations, often of children and animals, are crafted with watercolor, pencil, ink, collage and digital.

Stacey’s creativity captures the precious moments from the midst of motherhood, the innocence of childhood, life on her homestead and those nights spent as a neonatal nurse the Special Care Nursery.

Previously having lived in California USA, Rural Victoria and in a caravan with an ever-changing view of Australia, she creates memory stones from her adventures and transform them into stories.

She often muddles her coffee cup with her paint water, although both are essential elements on her big old faithful desk. She creates and runs workshops from her Railway Cottage studio overlooking the river, nestled in the heart of Central Queensland. Stacey feels incredibly blessed to walk a slower paced lifestyle that comes with homeschooling and homesteading with her family, surrounded by numerous farm animals including her favourites - her babbling ducks and geese.

Her obsession with all things vintage results in her having a questionably large collection of old weathered clothbound children’s books.
